Education Outside The Classroom (EOTC)
Our Year 4-6 students are challenged in an outside environment with the Hanmer Springs Forest Trust Camp and Outdoor Education Week on alternate years. We work with experts from Activity Hanmer and Orton Bradley Park to encourage and challenge our children to step outside their comfort zones. They work collaboratively on physical challenges including ropes courses, team building initiatives, tramping, bivouac building, code breaker and orienteering. This is balanced with social challenges of hobo stove cooking, hydro sliding, thermal pools, hagglund rides, ice skating and SKATE Skool. We keep the cost for our families at a minimum through chocolate fundraising in our community. We nurture our children in developing a love of the outdoors and aim to foster a ‘can do’ attitude no matter what the challenge.
