Board Member - David Campbell

Picture
My name is David Campbell, and I have had the privilege of  being on the Board of our school since October 2015.  I decided to find out more about the Board and get involved soon after our daughter - Lucy - joined the school.  Our son Ryan will be joining BAS in 2017.

This is a really exciting time to be involved with Banks Ave School as we look to the future and build a school that will hopefully be a central part of our community for the years to come.  I believe that the Board has an important part to play in supporting the school's leaders and teachers to provide an environment where all students can do their best.   I have really enjoyed my time of the Board to date, as I have been introduced to elements of organisational governance that wouldn't normally come up in my 9-5 job.
I would really encourage parents who are keen to find out more about the Board to either come and talk to a board member, or come along to our meetings. I am usually around the junior school on Thursday mornings for drop-off, and I'm always happy to have a chat.
